The brilliant craftsmanship in the second half is the redeeming feature of this SUTHRADARI, with Navarasan and Chandan Shetty rocking with some superb contributions. Director Kiran Kumar offers Paisa Vasool content in the second half, and he holds the attention with gripping narration.

Who is the kingpin behind a series of murders? The question arises in the debut direction of Kiran Kumar. The film is also laced with family sentiment, decked in the screenplay, and finally approves the saga is in the right pitch in this 123-minute SUTHRADARI.

This is the 5th production of Navarasan, and he, being a talented director from Rakshasi Kannada film, gives a chance to a debutant. The clever handling of the screenplay in the second half and popcorn time in the first half give a fine finish.

In the days of betrayal, hate, and cunning minds, the truth and loyalty are in for a six in this society. One such admirable social impact discovery of a youth is not tolerated by the ruthless and opportunistic person. That obviously leads to trauma in a family.

Right from this case, the already suspended crime branch Vijay (Chandan Shetty) takes it seriously after some time. When Vijay takes up the serious case of kidnapping, and the kidnap victim sends shockwaves to the police department, because all of them are with good names in the society.

A series of incidents that Vijay follows cautiously gives him the first clue in the post-interval. Vijay’s closets are suspected, but finally, what is the ultimate motive—you have to watch in this suspense thriller SUTHRADARI.

Making his debut, Chandan Shetty has done a commendable job as an actor, and his dialogue delivery is also in control. He has the scope to show freestyle in the first half and becomes serious as the crime mounts up. Two of the songs that Chandan Shetty, the rap king of Karnataka, has sung and danced to are superb, and he has done good work in the background music too.

Apoorva as a lady love has something special, and she has done it neatly. It is not the usual running-around-the-tree role for Apoorva, and there is good stuff for her to emote.

Navarasan is another good performer in this film, and Tabla Nani has some serious stuff in this film without missing the comedy track.

The two songs in the first half and the title track are beautifully composed by Chandan Shetty. PKH Doss’s cinematography, a veteran in the profession, is another high point of this film. Kinnal Raj’s dialogues are quite OK, and editing is good in the second half as the pace picks up very well.

SUTHRADARI is a family-watch cinema.
