The trailer of Timmana Mottegalu, directed and written by Rakshit Tirthahalli and produced by Adarsh Ayyangar, has been released recently. The film is scheduled to hit screens on June 27.
Veteran director P. Sheshadri, Legislative Council member Bhojegowda, snake expert Gauri Shankar, Press Club of Council President Shivakumar Nagaranavile, and senior director Kodlu Ramakrishna released the trailer and wished the team success. After the launch, the guests and members of the film team spoke on the occasion.
Speaking at the event, director P. Sheshadri said that he had seen this film at the Kolkata International Film Festival. He stated that the director had chosen a story that is relevant to the current times and that the film has been made well. He added that since nearly 360 films are released every year — almost one per day — audience footfall in theatres has decreased. He suggested that the number of film releases should be reduced so that audiences may come to theatres to watch quality films like this.
Under the banner of Shreekrishna Productions, this is the debut production venture of Adarsh Ayyangar. Director Rakshit Tirthahalli shared that the film is based on a story from his own short story collection Kaadina Nentaru. The story of Timmana Mottegalu is centered around the king cobra, a snake commonly found in the forests of the Western Ghats, and explores the theme that animals, like humans, also share bonds and relationships. The director also informed that the film was recently premiered in Dallas, USA, where it received a good response from the audience. The film has also been screened at notable international film festivals and will release in theatres on June 27.
Senior actor Suchendra Prasad mentioned that the film’s plot focuses on the subtle sensitivities between nature and humans and said that his role in the film is also significant.
Keshav Guttalike, who plays the role of Timma in the film, also spoke about his character. Ashika Somashekar, Pragathi Prabhu, Raghu Ramanakoppa, and music director Hemanth Joish were present at the press conference.
