The new Kannada film from first-time makers, Deva Sasya, had its title teaser released in five languages at MMB Legacy by well-known actor, director, writer, and singer Naveen Krishna. The reason Naveen Krishna attended the event despite his busy schedule was because the director of this new film, Karthik Bhat, had worked with him previously on the mega-serial Radha Kalyana. Naveen Krishna appreciated the confidence of producer Ananthamurthy Hegde and wished tremendous success for the film.
The complete confidence shown by producer Ananthamurthy Hegde in his maiden venture Deva Sasya becoming a box-office success was a notable highlight of the title launch event. Hegde has made this film in five languages, and he says the tribal backdrop runs throughout. The son of a cook at the Sri Marikamba Temple in Sirsi, Hegde grew up facing hardship. He worked as a temple priest (Archak), entered the real estate business, started a tabloid newspaper, formed the Vishwambhara Television Network, and is now venturing into cinema.

Deva Sasya is about a plant that is equated to Sanjivini. The film’s caption, “Unknown countryside of a well-known state,” is another catchy statement from the team. A highly confident Hegde says that the film includes a terrific song for the upcoming Ganesha Festival, which he believes will surely go viral. The script and screenplay were developed over two years in collaboration with his friends, which adds to Ananthamurthy Hegde’s confidence, as seen at the title teaser launch. Good-looking and tall, Hegde had aspired to become an actor in his childhood, and now he is producing a Kannada film.
Director and writer of Deva Sasya, Karthik Bhat, has cast a boy from the Siddi community in a key role. Bhat has previously worked as a writer on Gattimela, Hejjaru, and others. He believes the film’s emphasis on the Karavali, Bayaluseeme, and Malnad regions will attract audiences. He discovered the film’s lead actor during a visit to his brother’s house, where a tractor driver caught his attention. He thanked producer Ananthamurthy Hegde for his complete involvement in the film. The 1995 era is recreated through sets, and an Ishwar Linga found near the shooting location has become an additional attraction, drawing over 5,000 visitors. The team has completed 45 days of shooting, and interestingly, the title of the film is also one of the key characters.
Selvan Desai, from the Siddi community, has been groomed to appear before the camera. Ahana plays a grey-shaded character, while Bimbika portrays herself in the role of Matangi. This is her fifth film. Rajesh, Dhruva, Abhi, and others also spoke at the media briefing.
However, the media meet was scheduled for 2 PM, but the team of Deva Sasya arrived significantly late and did not bother to apologize for the delay.
