Three prisoners are behind bars, and the story revolves around how they escape from prison. Built around a murder mystery with several unexpected twists, Aparadhi Nanalla promises to be an engaging suspense thriller. The trailer of the film was recently unveiled ahead of its theatrical release on July 3.
The film is produced by Ajith Chouta Devasya under the SLV Colors Anugraha Films banner and directed by Yashanth Kalladka. Vikram Devadiga and Sandeep Shetty serve as the executive producers.
Speaking at the trailer launch, director Yashanth Kalladka said, “Aparadhi Nanalla is a meaningful title because many people in prison are not actually criminals. The film is inspired by a true incident, blended with commercial elements to make it engaging.”
The film was shot over 45 days in and around Mangaluru. Yashanth said he developed the story after consulting police officials and incorporating his own observations. With over 20 years of experience in the film industry, this marks his directorial debut.
“The screenplay is designed in a non-linear style. It moves back and forth in time, making it difficult for the audience to predict what happens next. The narrative is crafted to keep viewers glued to their seats,” he said.
Actor Arjun Dev said with a smile, “I am not the criminal. If I reveal more about the film, Yashanth will become the criminal.” Wishing the director success, he added, “The film has many cliffhanger moments, and Yashanth’s effort as a director is neat and impressive. I request audiences to support the film when it releases on July 3.”
Arjun also remembered actor Dinesh Mangaluru, who passed away last year. “He has done a wonderful job in the film, and we all miss him,” he said.
Heroine Amrutha Murthy said, “Aparadhi Nanalla has been made by a team of newcomers, and I am happy to be associated with it. It is also an Arjun Kapikad film. When I first worked with him, I did not know much about him, but in Mangaluru everyone calls him a tiger. In this film, I play the role of a doctor. You will know more about my character when you watch the movie.”
Amrutha also revealed that actor Arjun Kaje, of Su from So fame, suggested the title Aparadhi Nanalla for the film.
The cast also includes Pramod Shetty, Navil Padilu, Ashok Hegde, Neethu Shetty, and several others.
YBR Manu has handled the cinematography, while Vikram Devadiga and Sandeep Shetty have worked as executive producers. Produced by Ajith Chouta Devasya under the SLV Colors Anugraha Films banner, Aparadhi Nanalla is set for release on July 3.
