The peppy item song ‘Jigi Jikka’ from the upcoming Kannada film Nee Nange Allava was released at a special event held at Utsav Legacy, GT Mall, Bengaluru. The song was jointly released by Naveen Shankar, Siddu and Vikas.
The special attraction of ‘Jigi Jikka’ is the inclusion of popular songs from legendary Kannada and Indian cinema. Portions of Dr. Rajkumar’s ‘Cheluveya Nota Chanda’, L.R. Eshwari’s ‘Rasika Rasika’, Ghantasala’s ‘Kuladalli Kilyavudo’ and S.P. Balasubrahmanyam’s ‘Havina Dwesha’ have been used at different points in the song.
The use of these evergreen melodies has added a nostalgic touch and is expected to be a major highlight of the film. Choreographer Ram Kiran’s work was appreciated by the guests and the team at the launch.
Inspired by ‘Kaddi Pudi’ – Director Manoj P. Nadulmane recalled his inspiration behind the song and spoke about his admiration for director Duniya Suri. “Duniya Suri is like Dronacharya to me,” he said, recalling the popular song from Suri’s Kaddi Pudi, in which Shivanna (Shivarajkumar) performs energetic dance steps. The song inspired him while creating ‘Jigi Jikka’.
A Dream Come True for Suraj Jois – Music director Suraj Jois described the song as a dream come true. He revealed that the phrase ‘Jigi Jikka’ was initially suggested by the cameraman and gradually took shape as a full-fledged song.
Cinematographer Uday Leela has captured the song with vibrant visuals, matching its energetic mood. Editor Naveen also spoke about his experience working on the song, saying that it was an exciting and intense process.
Producer Jayaram Devasamudra of Suram Movies thanked the guests and the entire team for their support. He revealed that the Saregama team helped the makers obtain the rights and permissions to use the legendary songs.
“Getting a team like this is a blessing. I can make ten films like this,” he said, expressing his happiness with the outcome. He also thanked Aishwarya and Girish Shivanna for accepting their roles in the film. The producer revealed that the movie has three more songs, which are expected to be highlights.
Jayaram also appreciated hero Rahul, who, despite initial apprehension, has performed well in the film. Director Manoj is also handling the distribution of the movie.
Aishwarya, who shares a long-standing friendship with director Manoj, said she has known him for nearly ten years and has witnessed his growth. She added that he invited her to be part of the film because he felt she was suitable for the role.
Hero Rahul expressed hope that audiences would enjoy ‘Jigi Jikka’. He thanked choreographer Kiran Master for helping him with the dance steps.
