A web series based on the Railway Protection Force (RPF) is all set to explore the lives of railway department employees, corruption, scams and the challenges faced by ordinary people. Titled RPF, the teaser of this AI-powered web series was recently launched by actors Mohan, Venu and Vaani.
The series promises to be a suspense thriller, with each episode presenting a different story. The makers have revealed that the web series will comprise seven episodes, with each episode ranging from five minutes to a longer runtime. Nearly 80 percent of the series has been created using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.
Real-Life Experiences Inspire RPF
Speaking at the teaser launch, actor Madhu Mandagere, a Central Government employee, shared his journey in cinema and the experiences that inspired the series. “I have no regrets about my life being ruined, but I want to make sure that no one else’s life is ruined like mine,” he said, highlighting the emotional and social themes behind the project.
Madhu, who has been working as a Central Government employee, said that entering the film industry after 33 years has brought him happiness. However, he also spoke about the difficulties he has faced in his personal and professional life. “I have acted in around 90 films and shared screen space with several leading heroes. But there is no peace of mind when it comes to salary,” he said.
He also spoke about his long-pending legal case, which has been going on for five years, and the lack of promotion and salary increments in his department. Madhu revealed that his real-life experiences have played an important role in shaping the web series. The stories revolve around officers, clerks and inspectors, offering a glimpse into their lives and the issues they encounter.
Seven Episodes, Different Stories – Director Madesh Aradhya is helming the project and earlier he was associated with Manju Masthi dialogue writer of Kannada cinema.
The series is said to draw inspiration from real-life incidents and stories of ordinary people. Each episode will feature a different narrative, covering themes such as suspense, thrillers and scams.
The makers have also revealed that the series will be presented through a different visual approach, with AI technology playing a major role in its production. The team has reportedly obtained the necessary department permission for the project.
Madhu also expressed his desire to have actress Malashree play the role of an SP in the series.
Vaani on Her Personal Journey
Vaani wife of Madhu Mandagere also shared her emotional experiences at the event. Speaking about the challenges she faced in her personal life, she said that she had gone through difficult circumstances involving her husband and family. She revealed that her husband had once experienced a period of depression and had to visit a hospital. Despite the hardships, she believes that everything happens according to a divine plan. “Divine plan,” she said, expressing her belief that life has its own way of unfolding.
The web series is being developed for YouTube under the banner of Divine Plan. With its combination of real-life incidents, suspense-driven storytelling and AI technology, RPF is expected to offer a different kind of digital entertainment.
