The trailer of Rocky, produced by Saligrama Suresh under the SNR Productions banner and directed by Venkat Bharadwaj, was unveiled by Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar. The film marks the acting debut of Rocky in the lead role. The trailer is available on the PRK Audio YouTube channel. Members of the film’s team addressed the media following the launch.
Director Venkat Bharadwaj said producer Saligrama Suresh, who has been living in Germany for several years, has been his friend for over two decades. He said he had narrated two stories to Suresh, who suggested presenting them to Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar and proceeding with the one she approved. According to Bharadwaj, Ashwini appreciated the story of Rocky, after which the project was launched. He added that she had also inaugurated the film during its muhurat and has now released its trailer.
The director said the shooting and post-production work have been completed and that the film is ready for release. He also stated that the Central Board of Film Certification has awarded the film a U/A certificate without any cuts. Rocky is scheduled for release on July 10.
Lead actor Rocky thanked Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar for supporting the film from its inception. He said both his name and the film’s title are Rocky. Describing the film as a crime thriller, he said he plays a gangster, but not a conventional machete-wielding gangster, rather a stylish one. He added that the film is suitable for audiences of all age groups. Rocky also said he prepared for the role while living in Germany before coming to India for the project and expressed hope that audiences would support his debut film when it releases on July 10.
Producer Saligrama Suresh said he is originally from Saligrama and has been working in the IT sector while living in Germany for the past 20 years. He said his father, Rajasekhar, had produced the Dr. Rajkumar-starrer Hosabelaku, and that he has now produced Rocky, which features his son in the lead role. Suresh credited director Venkat Bharadwaj for the story and thanked Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar for her support throughout the project, along with the entire film team.
Actor B. Suresh said he plays the character Danny, who is portrayed as an underworld don in the film.
Lead actresses Ashika Somashekhar and Pallavi Manjunath spoke about their respective roles, while music director Loki Tavasya shared details about the film’s music. Cinematographer Isaac Prabhakar, art director Deepak Kamath and executive producer Vajreshwari Swamy were also present at the press meet.
The film features Rocky Suresh, Pallavi Manjunath, Ashika Somashekhar, B. Suresh, Sampath Maitreya, Ramesh Pandit, Bala Rajwadi, G.G., Harini Srikanth and others in the cast. Editing has been handled by Deepu S. Kumar.
