Actor and producer Sharmiela Mandre and Tamil film producer Sudhan Sundaram have got engaged in a private ceremony attended by close family members and well-wishers. The couple exchanged rings during the event, which was held with a simple setup featuring white floral decorations and contemporary design elements.
Sharmiela Mandre began her acting career in Kannada cinema with Sajni in 2007. She has since appeared in films including Krishna, Navagraha, Swayamvara, Aake, Gaalipata 2, Powder and the recently released Devil. Apart from acting, she also produces films under the banner Sharmiela Mandre Productions. She has acted in more than 35 films and has supported content-driven cinema through her production ventures.
Sudhan Sundaram is the founder and producer of Passion Studios, a South Indian film production company. His productions include Kappal, Nibunan, Seethakathi, Anabelle Sethupathi, the National Award-winning Parking, and the Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Maharaja, along with several other films.
Speaking about the engagement, Sharmiela Mandre said, “This is one of the most beautiful and special chapters of our lives. We are grateful to everyone who has showered us with love and blessings. We are looking forward to this new journey together.”
Sudhan Sundaram said, “We will always remain grateful for the love and support of our family members, friends and well-wishers who have stood by us.”
The couple is set to begin a new chapter together following their engagement.
