The Kannada film Sarkari Nyaya Bele Angadi has officially gone on floors with a muhurat held at Shri Gangadhareshwara Temple in the premises of Adichunchanagiri Mahasansthana Mutt, Vijayanagar, Bengaluru. The first clap was given by senior actor Srinath. Minister for Food and Civil Supplies K. H. Muniyappa, MLA L. Shivaramé Gowda, Karnataka State Government Ration Dealers Federation President T. Krishnappa, and producers B. M. Harish and B. M. Girish were present as guests.
The film stars Ragini Dwivedi in the lead role as Parvati, a village woman who raises her voice against injustice in the functioning of the local fair price shop. Ragini described the role as different from anything she has done before, highlighting her transition toward content-driven cinema.
Actor Kumar Bangarappa, who also plays a key role, said the film explores the inner workings and issues of the public distribution system. He noted that it reflects the struggles of the common man and carries a social message.

Director and cinematographer Satwik Pavan Kumar described the project as a family drama set in a rural backdrop with a strong focus on women’s issues. He said the film touches on real-life scenarios and is particularly relatable to rural women. The entire shoot, expected to last about 35 days, will take place around Dodd Arasinkere in Mandya district. The plan is to complete filming in a single schedule.
Producers Teju Murthy and S. Padmavathi Chandrashekhar said they were drawn to the film’s socially relevant storyline. They believe the film will appeal to audiences for its blend of entertainment and meaningful content. The team is aiming to release Sarkari Nyaya Bele Angadi by the end of the year.
The film is being produced under the Jayashankar Talkies banner. The story and screenplay are written by veteran filmmaker B. Ramamurthy, and music is composed by Ananth Aryan.
