The trailer launch and pre-release event of “Gramayana”, produced by Lahari Films, written and directed by Devanuru Chandru, and starring Vinay Rajkumar and Megha Shetty in the lead roles, was held recently in a grand manner.

The trailer received an enthusiastic response from the audience and guests, with its gripping visuals and fast-paced narrative creating excitement ahead of the film’s release.

The trailer was unveiled by actor Duniya Vijay and Nagaraj Vastare, husband of late actress Aparna. The event was attended by Raghavendra Rajkumar, Mangala Raghavendra Rajkumar, music director Hamsalekha, Yuva Rajkumar, actor Naveen Shankar, director Simple Suni, and several other dignitaries, who extended their best wishes to the team.

Speaking at the event, Duniya Vijay said that he is very fond of Vinay Rajkumar and praised the trailer, calling it excellent. He described Devanuru Chandru as a talented filmmaker and even referred to him as “the second Soori.” He wished Lahari Films and the entire “Gramayana” team great success.

Nagaraj Vastare said that after completing the film’s shoot, Aparna often shared her experiences from the sets with him. He added that unveiling the trailer of a film she acted in, without her presence today, was an emotional moment. He wished the team all the best for the film’s release.

Raghavendra Rajkumar said that instead of the team speaking about the film, it is the audience who should ultimately speak for it. He requested everyone to watch “Gramayana” when it releases on July 3 and support the film.

Yuva Rajkumar wished for his elder brother Vinay Rajkumar’s film to become a grand success. Director Simple Suni said he would book an entire theatre for the film’s first show, while actor Naveen Shankar also conveyed his best wishes to the team.

Producer Naveen Manohar said that while the trailer has shaped up beautifully, the film has turned out even better. He noted that “Gramayana” is the ninth film produced by Lahari Films as well as the ninth film in Vinay Rajkumar’s career, adding that the number nine has always been lucky for their production house. He thanked all the guests, artists, technicians, and the entire team for their support. Lahari Films founder Manohar Naidu and his brother Ramesh were also present at the event.

Lead actor Vinay Rajkumar said that seeing everyone gathered on stage reminded him of the film’s early days. He acknowledged that although many people mention the long time it took to complete the project, everything has its own time. He thanked Lahari Films for backing the film on a grand scale, along with director Devanuru Chandru, the cast, crew, and all the dignitaries present.

Vinay also revealed that he has played a role unlike anything he has done before. He appears in a rugged avatar as Seena, whose opening dialogue in the film is delivered opposite his mother, portrayed by the late Aparna. He added that working on “Gramayana” has changed his thought process, making him look at society and the nation from a completely different perspective.

An emotional Devanuru Chandru said that he made the film after a long wait of nine years with “bhaya, shraddhe, and preeti” (fear, faith, and love). He said there was little left for him to say about the film except that he could assure audiences it would not disappoint them for the time and money they invest. He thanked the producers, artists, and technicians who stood by him throughout the journey.

Actress Megha Shetty also expressed her gratitude to everyone who supported the film. Actor Arun Sagar, music director Poornachandra Tejaswi, cinematographer Santosh Rai Pathaje, choreographer Murali Master, stunt director Different Danny, lyricist Pramod Maravante, and several others also spoke about “Gramayana.” Poornachandra Tejaswi noted that the film carries an important message for society.

“Gramayana” stars Vinay Rajkumar, Megha Shetty, Loose Mada Yogish, Achyuth Kumar, Gopalakrishna Deshpande, Arun Sagar, Bala Rajwadi, Aparna Vastare, Seetha Kote, Prashanth Honnali, Avinash Rai, and several others in prominent roles.
