Kannada films premiering overseas before their release in Karnataka has become increasingly common, and Moda Kavida Vaataavarana has joined that list. Directed by Simple Suni, the film is scheduled for a statewide release on June 26. Ahead of its release in Karnataka, the film had its premiere in Singapore on June 20, where it received a positive response from the Kannada diaspora.
After returning from the Singapore premiere, director Simple Suni is preparing for the film’s Karnataka release. Ahead of the release, the makers unveiled the film’s trailer. Vinay Rajkumar, Naveen Shankar and producer Uday Mehta attended the trailer launch event and wished the team success.
Speaking about Moda Kavida Vaataavarana, Simple Suni said the response received in Singapore had increased the team’s confidence. He said audiences appreciated the performances of Sheelam, Moksha and Sathvika. Suni expressed confidence that Sheelam would establish himself as a lead actor through the film, adding that he had previously worked as an assistant director on his films before making his debut as a hero.
Sheelam said he considers himself the luckiest person in the world. He stated that audiences’ perception of the team would change after watching the film and added that the screening in Singapore received a completely positive response. He invited audiences to watch the film in theatres.
Actress Moksha Kushal said she learned a great deal while working on the film. She plays the role of Souparnika, an innocent village girl. According to her, the trailer reveals only about five percent of the story, while the film has much more to offer. She also said working with director Simple Suni and senior cinematographers was a valuable experience.
Sathvika thanked Simple Suni for trusting her with the role. She said she would not reveal much about the film but added that audiences would find the two-hour theatrical experience worth their time.
