Aravind Venkatesh Reddy (AVR), who has been producing films under AVR Productions, has launched a Kannada OTT platform titled AVR CINE – MAX. The platform will be managed by actor and director Avinash Divakar Srungeri, the grandson of veteran actor Narasimharaju. The launch event was recently held in the presence of members of the Kannada film industry.
The event was attended by Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce President Dr. Jayamala; directors T.S. Nagabharana, Nagathihalli Chandrashekar, T.N. Seetharam, P. Sheshadri, Shashank and Naganna; actors Doddanna, Mukhyamantri Chandru, Sundar Raj, Mohan, Gurukiran, Thriller Manju and Shivadhwaj; actresses Girija Lokesh, Sudharani, Tara Anuradha, Harshika Poonacha and Padmaja Rao; producer Yogeesh Dwarakish; and journalist Sadashiva Shenoy, among others.
Speaking after inaugurating the platform, Dr. Jayamala wished success to the new OTT platform launched by Aravind Venkatesh Reddy and managed by Avinash Divakar Srungeri. She also expressed hope that it would benefit Kannada producers.

According to the organisers, AVR CINE – MAX is an OTT platform launched by Kannadigas for Kannadigas with the objective of taking Kannada films and creative entertainment content to audiences across the world. The platform currently hosts more than 750 films. In addition to movies, it will feature reality shows, sports, music, live events and original creative content.
Founder Aravind Venkatesh Reddy said Ravishrivatsa’s Gang of UK is being presented as a web series on the platform. He also announced that Srujan Lokesh will host a programme titled Sruja Talkies, while music programmes will be streamed on weekends. He added that sports enthusiasts will be able to livestream sporting events, including cricket, through the platform. He further said that a cricket tournament is being planned in Malaysia in the near future and sought public support for the initiative. He also thanked the dignitaries who attended the launch event.
Avinash Divakar Srungeri said the remarks made by Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce President Dr. Jayamala during the recent Kannada film industry programme Andu Indu Mundu inspired the team to launch the OTT platform.
He further stated that the team had previously launched an OTT platform called Katte, but it could not be continued due to various reasons. He said that after discussing the idea of AVR CINE – MAX with Aravind Venkatesh Reddy, the latter agreed to invest in the project. Avinash added that the platform aims to provide entertainment to Kannadigas across the world.
