The makers of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, starring Yash, have officially announced the film’s worldwide theatrical release date as Wednesday, 26 August 2026.

The announcement was made as part of a special update on Father’s Day. Along with the date reveal, the team stated that the film is positioned for a festive box office window and will release on a Wednesday instead of the usual Friday pattern.

A new poster was also released featuring Yash in dual avatars named Raya and Ticket. The poster highlights a darker and layered visual world and introduces elements of tension, power dynamics and emotional complexity within the narrative.

The makers described the release strategy as part of a “Monster Mind: Mega Monster Plan”, aligning the film’s rollout with a broader promotional and release approach. The release date has been selected to coincide with a cluster of festivals, including Varamahalakshmi, Onam, Eid and Raksha Bandhan, creating an extended holiday period for its theatrical run.

The film is directed by Geetu Mohandas and marks her first collaboration with Yash. It is jointly produced by KVN Productions and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations.

The project has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English and will release in multiple languages, including Kannada, Hindi, English, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.

The cast includes Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria.

The poster and announcement together indicate a structured release plan built around the festive calendar and a mid-week launch strategy aimed at extending the theatrical window. The film’s promotional material continues to highlight its dual-character setup and its expanding narrative world.

Toxic is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on 26 August 2026.
