Cinema is, no doubt, an entertainment field. People always wait for that entertainment. A film that will make people laugh and relax their minds is getting ready. Its name is Golmaal Gang. Now, a good teaser has been released and has created confidence about the film. The film has been produced by Satish Chandra under the Shanthvu Universal Picture banner.
Director Shivakumar, speaking about the film, said, the producer has helped a lot for this movie. He stood as the backbone for everything and corrected us whenever we made mistakes. There are 16 artists in the film. Every one of those characters has life. No matter how much we boast, nothing can be done without artists. Karthik Ruvari treated me like a brother. There are many characters who create ‘Golmaal’, and that is why we gave it that title,” he said.
Producer K. Satish Chandra Elekere said, “Even while working on the shooting set, we all used to discuss things together. We came with the confidence that we would definitely make the film a success. For the last 26–27 years, we have been supplying labor to the industry. I did not enter the film industry with the intention of becoming a part of cinema. When I saw the problem of unemployment, I wanted to do something. We started a banner with the intention of providing work,” he said.
Apparently, on Wednesday, June 10, producer K. Satish Chandra launched Mother, a Kannada film and the 175th film of noted actress Shruthi. On the same evening, he released the teaser of his film at a media gathering. He agreed to produce two films a year. Producer Satish Chandra’s father was a stage actor who performed mythological roles.
Hero Karthik said, “I got introduced to the producer through director Shivakumar. He has the spirit of a young child. When it was decided that I was the hero, some heroines did not agree. Most of them said they would not work with someone from short films. But the producer said that even if there was no heroine, he would not replace Karthik. That statement made me very emotional. I myself had never thought of myself as a hero. But our director called me a hero so many times. Once it comes before the audience, the film will work,” he said.
Moodabidari girl Aradhana Bhat, who shot to fame through the Mahanati TV show, said, “Whenever anyone asked me, I used to say that I wanted to become a heroine. Today, if that has happened through the film Golmaal Gang, the credit goes to our producer. Thanks also to director Shivakumar. There is quite a gang here. The twist is which gang I belong to. When I was told that Mandya Ramesh sir would be playing my father, I was scared. But he guided me through everything perfectly,” she said.
Mandya Ramesh, a big name in Kannada cinema, television, and theatre, felt very happy about the approach and attempt of the team. “This producer is a very prompt personality, and I got my payment cleared at the right time. This has perhaps not happened in my 360-plus films,” he said. Looking at the English title Golmaal Gang, Mandya Ramesh translated it and said that ‘Mundayiso Thanda’ is an apt title.
Another talented actor, Srinath Vasishta, disclosed that he was picked for the role by the producer’s wife, as she had seen him in a unique costume role in a television serial.
Actors Dharmanna, Jolly Jack, Anil, Sneha Acharya, Pooja, Anargya Mouli, music director Anjan Pujari, cinematographer Dhanush, and others spoke at the media briefing.
