The grand audio launch of the film Jananaayakan, held in Malaysia on December 27, turned into a record-setting event. The programme has officially been included in the Malaysian Book of Records for being the audio launch event with the highest public attendance in the country.
The event opened with a special performance by actor Vijay’s mother, which drew an emotional response from the audience. Vijay later walked onto the stage and embraced his father, a moment that was met with loud applause from those present in the stadium.
Director H. Vinoth, speaking at the event, stated that Jananaayakan represents Vijay’s cinema, his ideology, and his relationship with his fans. Director Atlee spoke about the support Vijay has extended to him in his career. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj spoke about his admiration for Vijay, while Nelson Dilipkumar shared light-hearted remarks about the importance Vijay places on friendship.

On stage, actor Prabhu Deva joined Vijay for a dance performance recreating steps from Pokkiri. Music director Anirudh Ravichander performed the song Yaaru Petra Magano, engaging the audience. An unreleased song titled Raavanamagan was also performed during the event.
Addressing the gathering, Vijay reiterated that Jananaayakan would be his final film. He thanked fans for their support and responded humorously when the audience sang Yaaru Petra Magano, stating that he would not get emotional during his speech. He later sang and danced to songs for the fans.
Senior actor Nassar urged Vijay to continue in the film industry. Telugu actor Sunil said that in his 25-year career, he had not witnessed a gathering of this scale. Actor Mamitha Baiju also performed a special dance at the event.
Jananaayakan is scheduled for release on January 9 during the Pongal festival season. The audio launch event in Malaysia marked a significant public gathering associated with the film’s promotion.
