Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar launched ‘Karnata Balam Ajeyam’, and ‘Sainika 2’ was launched by Union Minister Shri V. Somanna in a grand ceremony.
Dhyan Yogeeshwar, son of MLA C.P. Yogeeshwar, makes his debut as a hero in Kannada cinema through PMG Film Factory productions. C.P. Yogeeshwar also returns to acting after 25 years in both films.
Having been associated with the Kannada film industry for 40 years and remembered by audiences for the popular film Sainika, made 25 years ago, C.P. Yogeeshwar’s son, Dhyan Yogeeshwar, is making his debut as a hero in Kannada cinema through Karnata Balam Ajeyam and Sainika 2. Yogeeshwar himself is also acting in both films, marking his return to acting after 25 years.
Among these, Karnata Balam Ajeyam is being directed by veteran filmmaker Naganna, while Sainika 2 will be directed by Puneeth Rudranag. The muhurta ceremony of both films was held recently in a grand manner.
Chief Minister of Karnataka Shri D.K. Shivakumar inaugurated Karnata Balam Ajeyam by giving the ceremonial clap. Union Minister Shri V. Somanna inaugurated Sainika 2 by giving the ceremonial clap. BAMUL Chairman and former MP D.K. Suresh switched on the camera.
Former Minister Sudhakar, MLAs Uday, Ravi, and Mohan, Sa. Ra. Govindu, Vishwaprasad (People Media Factory), producer Rockline Venkatesh, Lahari Velu, director Santhosh Anandram, and several other dignitaries attended the muhurta ceremony and conveyed their best wishes. Both films are being produced by Sheela Yogeeshwar. On the same occasion, the first-look teasers of both films were also unveiled. Later, the members of the film teams and the dignitaries addressed the gathering.
“I generally do not attend muhurta ceremonies. I have come here only because of the affectionate invitation of my friend and MLA Yogeeshwar. Through Karnata Balam Ajeyam, Yogeeshwar’s son Dhyan is entering the film industry as a hero. After watching the teaser, it is evident that Dhyan has learnt acting and is coming well prepared. Yogeeshwar himself was once a popular actor and has now returned to acting. Dhyan is like my own son. I wish him a bright future in the film industry,” said Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar.
“Twenty-five years ago, Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar attended the muhurta of my film Sainika and gave the ceremonial clap. Today, he has once again come to give the clap for my son’s debut film as a hero. My heartfelt thanks to the Chief Minister, Union Minister Shri V. Somanna, Shri D.K. Suresh, and all the dignitaries attended the function.
I entered the film industry as an actor forty years ago and later entered politics. Now, I have returned to cinema. My son, Dhyan Yogishwar, is making his debut as a hero through these two films. Among them, Karnata Balam Ajeyam will go on floors first. We are making efforts to release the film during Sankranti next year. Veteran director Naganna is directing this film. It is a story rooted in the soil of Karnataka. My son has completed all the preparations required to become a hero before entering the industry. Both my son and I are acting in these two films. Sainika 2 is being directed by Puneeth Rudranag. We seek your encouragement and support for both our films,” said C.P. Yogeeshwar.
“I am very happy to be entering the Kannada film industry as a hero. First of all, I thank my parents for giving me this opportunity. I have completed all the preparations required for acting. I am also learning a lot from the directors of my two films, Naganna and Puneeth Rudranag. I request everyone’s support and encouragement for my first attempt,” said hero Dhyan Yogishwar.
“Our Indian soil has created countless histories. It is our responsibility to pass them on to our children. When such stories are told through cinema, they reach people more effectively. Karnata Balam Ajeyam is a story that unfolds across two different time periods. We are attempting to portray how Badami looked during the reign of Immadi Pulakeshi in the sixth century and how it appears today. Yogeeshwar himself has taken responsibility for the story.
M.S. Ramesh, a powerful dialogue writer in Kannada cinema, expressed that Karnata Balam Ajjeyam is based on ‘Culture and Agriculture’.
Vishwa and Gururaj Desai have worked in the story department. V. Harikrishna is composing the music, while Shekar Chandra is handling the cinematography. The film features skilled technicians and experienced artists. I thank C.P. Yogeeshwar for entrusting me with the responsibility of directing the debut film introducing his son as a hero,” said Karnata Balam Ajeyam director Naganna.
V. Harikrishna shared information about the songs of Karnata Balam Ajeyam. Renowned actor Jagapathi Babu and Telugu actress Laya, who is returning to Kannada cinema after twenty years, spoke about their roles.
Miss Universe India Manika Vishwakarma and Miss Universe India Runner-up Rekha Pandey, who are playing the female leads in Karnata Balam Ajeyam, expressed their happiness about being part of the film. Cinematographers Shekar Chandra and Sanketh were also present at the press conference.
