An album song conveying tender love has been released under the title ‘Kanasalu..’. The same song also in Hindi as ‘Aankhon Mein… The song, led by young talent Sriram Gandharva, witnessed a gathering of young talents from the film industry at its release event.
The song ‘Kanasalu..’ was symbolically released on stage and screened on the occasion. Actor Rakshith Nag, who attended as a guest and extended his best wishes, “Sriram, don’t stop your work here. People forget very quickly. Only if you keep giving songs repeatedly will people remember you.”
Renowned folk singer Jogila Siddaraju said, “I have been a folk singer for 35 years, and over the last decade, I have sung around 12 film songs. Congratulations to a versatile talent like Sriram, who has composed the tune and sung the song. However, in Kannada, imported singers are often used. For talents like Sriram to get an opportunity to showcase their abilities amidst them, albums like this are needed,” he said.
The album song ‘Kanasalu’ showcases the love story of a boy working in a tailoring shop. A tailor’s assistant falls in love with a young woman named Meera, who comes to the shop. The song reveals what her response to his love will be at the end.
Young actor Darshan, who has played the lover in the song, said, “This is my first experience. I have faced the camera for the first time through this song.” Gagana, who appears as his beloved Meera, said she already has experience acting in films and web series. However, she did not forget to mention that this is her first album song. “The director has brought on screen exactly what he told us before the shoot. They have shown a cute, natural love story taking place in an ordinary village. I am happy,” she said.
The song has been written, composed, sung and directed by Sriram Gandharva himself. Speaking about the experience, Sriram said, “It was decided from the beginning that we should make a love story. Because it is something that exists in everyone’s life. The girl likes the boy for his honesty. As a music director, music has no language boundaries. Though my father is a director, I did not use him in this project,” he said.
A Hindi song was also screened on the occasion. The Hindi lyrics have been written by Junaid Ahmed Kabir.
Richard has produced this album under the Dali Pictures banner. Ravikumar B.M. has handled the cinematography and editing of the song.The shoot was completed in just two days. Ravikumar said that when the project was planned, there was intense heat, but the weather cooperated during the shoot.
Dr. Manjunath, who has produced and acted as the lead in the film ‘Matte Bantu Monsoon’, Kannada talent Nihal, who has acted in a Telugu film, writer Harish and others were present on stage and extended their best wishes on the occasion.
