Preparations are underway in full swing for a musical evening titled ‘Chitti Aaye Hai’, which will be held in Bengaluru in memory of popular Indian playback singer and Bharat Ratna late Lata Mangeshkar.
Organized by Kannada film industry actor, singer, producer and distributor Kamal Raj (Kaleem Pasha), the ‘Chitti Aaye Hai’ event will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 6.00 p.m. at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Auditorium in Vasanth Nagar, Bengaluru. Several prominent personalities from Indian music, cinema, business, politics, sports and various other fields will attend the event.
The poster and invitation card were unveiled in the presence of veteran actress Bhavya, actor Pratham, Kamal Raj (Kaleem Pasha) and several other dignitaries.
Speaking after releasing the poster of the ‘Chitti Aaye Hai’ event, veteran actress Smt. Bhavya said, “Bringing together various genres of music and songs from the Indian music world on a single platform through the ‘Chitti Aaye Hai’ programme is a new experiment in Karnataka. This program, being organized in memory of India’s ‘Nightingale’ Lata Mangeshkar, is very meaningful. This event will offer a new experience and joy to those who enjoy all kinds of music. Everyone will appreciate the efforts of Kamal Raj (Kaleem Pasha) in organizing such a program that brings music and listeners together.”
Speaking about the ‘Chitti Aaye Hai’ programme, actor, producer, singer and organiser Kamal Raj (Kaleem Pasha) said, “Lata Mangeshkar’s sister Usha Mangeshkar and her family members will participate in this programme being held in memory of renowned singer Lata Mangeshkar. Many singers from different Indian languages will lend their voices to several songs. This will be a proud and historic moment for music lovers in Bengaluru and across Karnataka. This program will not merely be a stage performance. It is an attempt to unite the hearts of people through music, transcending the boundaries of different languages, regions and cultures of India. Songs in various styles such as Hindustani, Carnatic, ghazal and Sufi will be presented here.”
The organizers have stated that the musical evening will feature soothing classical music, timeless songs in various languages and a musical confluence with the flavor of folk traditions.
