The 56th music direction of highly talented music director Veer Samarth is very good in tunes and lyrics besides the top singers like Sangeetha Katti, Vijayaprakash and others delivering beautiful and peppy songs.
‘Huli Beera’ is a film made largely by talents from North Karnataka. The song release event of “Jigri Dost” from this film, for which Madarangi Mallikarjun has written the story and screenplay and directed, was recently held.
Actor Anjan, famous for Yarrabirri, has played the lead role in the film, while Chaithra Thotada has portrayed the heroine. The song Jigri Dost has been sung by Maalu and Shivani.
For the media the remaining four songs – Hutti Bande Hulibeeranaagi..Kottana Jarataari Seere…Banda Noda Elli hodaru Ninna Roopa Kanuthaithe… Parapancha Dundu Parashiva AAdo Chandu…all gathered good attention for its quality.
The film carries the native flavor of North Karnataka and has been made by people from the region itself—be it the hero, heroine, producer, or director. Veera Samarth has composed the music and Sanatana has handled the cinematography. Senior actor Rangayana Raghu has played the role of a village elder.
Speaking on the occasion, Lahari Velu, who has acquired the audio rights, said that they have had a long association with North Karnataka and that all five songs in the film have come out wonderfully. Guests Gururaj, Aditya Shashikumar, and Vikram Sridhar wished the film success.
Music director Veera Samarth said that the film contains four folk-style songs with the fragrance of the soil along with two bit songs. The lyrics have been written by the director, Shivu Bergi, and Nagendra Prasad. Sangeetha Katti has sung “Huttibande Hulibeeranagi.” He added that it is a story set in a village and that he was moved to tears after seeing Anjan’s character.
Director Mallikarjun said that the concept was born five to six years ago and that they are planning to release the film on July 24. He described it as the story of an innocent village boy. The incidents shown in the film are things he has witnessed in his own village and events that happen in all of our lives. It is the story of a village boy who uplifts his village, he said.
Producer Dawal Saheb Hunashimarad said that the film has now reached the release stage. Velu provided them with immense support. He said he is as happy as if the film has already won and that they have showcased the flavor of North Karnataka in the film.
Another producer, Ashok N. (Turuvekere), said that Girish is the reason the film has reached this stage. Though he is not from North Karnataka, Dawal Saheb narrated the story and asked him to support it. Today, they are presenting the songs before the audience, he said.
Sujatha Girish said that they are from North Karnataka and everyone should visit their region and experience its unique flavor. She expressed her wish for the film to be made in all languages.
Girish said that his wife loves cinema very much and stood as his backbone encouraging him to make the film. He added that Sangeetha Katti has given them a wonderful song.
Hero Anjan said that he is from Kundgol. His character, Beera, stands in the forefront and resolves any problem in the village. The villagers call him Hulibeera. Every household has a boy like him. His role portrays how a boy who is often considered the last option eventually uplifts the entire village. He felt that the song “Huttibande Hulibeera” seemed as though it was written specifically for him.
He added that when the film was shown to a few people, tears welled up in everyone’s eyes during the climax. Sunandamma has played his mother’s role, while Mallu Bagalkote has portrayed the role of his uncle.
Actress Vanu Patil said that she came from a YouTube background and that this is her first film, making it very special. She has played a strong-willed and rugged female character.
The film has been produced under Sai Star Cinemas by Dawal Saheb Hunashimarad, Ashok N. (Turuvekere), and Sujatha Girish.
The concept of the film revolves around a key issue: if all educated young men and women leave for cities in search of jobs, who will develop the villages? The story explores how Beera addresses this problem, how he brings them back to the village, helps develop it, and earns the name Hulibeera. Dharma Vish has composed the background score for the film.
