The teaser of the historical film “Rani Chennamma,” created using artificial intelligence (AI) technology, has been released. The film is directed by Shwetha Shetty and produced by Latha Jaiprakash under the BMK Production banner.
Based on the life of Kittur Rani Chennamma, a symbol of pride, courage, and self-respect, the film attempts to recreate history using modern technology. It carries the tagline “Kitturina Gattu… Deshakke Gottu.” The film aims not just to narrate a story but to present a depiction of historical events intended to resonate with audiences.
A key feature of the film is the use of AI technology in creating most of its visual elements, including scene design, character representation, and war sequences. This marks a new experiment in Kannada cinema, with an intention to explore new methods of filmmaking.
While the video production of the film utilizes AI technology, the audio production has been handled manually, aiming to balance technological input with human creativity. AI creative teams have also contributed to the visual aspects of the film.
The film’s editing is handled by Sanjeev Reddy, with music composed by Srihari. The songs are written by Shivananjegowda and Dr. V. Nagendra Prasad.
The film portrays not only historical events but also the determination, leadership, and aspiration for freedom of Rani Chennamma, who stood against British rule. Her struggle continues to be referenced as a source of inspiration, and the film presents it using contemporary technology.
