The film Spark, which is all set to hit theatres across the state on September 25, is releasing this week. At a press conference held for the film, the team shared more special details about the movie.
Abhay Vasishta is the son of the producers of ‘Spark’. Produced by Garima and Avinash Vasishta, the film features their son Abhay Vasishta as the antagonist. A handsome and talented son of the producers, Abhay has chosen to play a villain instead of a hero. Answering why, he said that since he was born and brought up abroad, he is not familiar with the Kannada language. He only has experience in foreign theatre, which is very different from the cinema field here. He said that after learning more about the Kannada language and cinema, he dreams of becoming a hero in Kannada in the future. For now, although his role in Spark is that of a villain, it is a very good character, which is why he accepted it.
Niranjan Sudhindra has acted as the lead in a few films. But the team has been saying that Spark is a film that surpasses all of them. The film’s trailer now conveys the same. The trailer of Spark, which was recently released by Upendra in Gadag, has created curiosity among everyone. The film team screened the trailer before the Bengaluru media on Monday and introduced newcomer Abhay Vasishta.
“Abhay was the right opponent for me to play the villain. His height suited me. During the action sequences, his face would turn as red as a tomato. Though he has come from abroad, he has acted very well. When you see him on screen, you will truly witness a good actor,” said Niranjan Sudhindra. He also said that after watching the entire film, including his character, he felt confident that it would bring a big success in his career. “Though it is a film against corruption, the story moves in an entertaining manner. There are elements in the film that will appeal to everyone, from grandparents to small children,” said Niranjan.
Director Mahanthesh Handral said, “The producers gave me all the actors I asked for and supported me. It is because of their support that the film has shaped up well.”
This is the film in which Lovely Star Prem is playing a villain for the first time. Praising the producers, he said, “Instead of going behind star cinema, they have made a film with newcomers. They have made a good film. I play the role of a corrupt police officer. But I have made an effort to portray the same police officer as stylish on a personal level.”
According to comedian Dharmanna Kadur, “Niranjan and Prem are the central points of the film.” He will also be seen as a journalist along with Niranjan and promised to entertain the audience as a ‘thumbnail journalist’. Executive Producer Vishwas M. Nair was also present at the press conference.
