An IT-working young couple in Bangalore is celebrating the 5-year anniversary of their relationship and is about to get engaged soon. This couple, Akash and Bhoomi, who also share a passion for music, host a party where Bhoomi gets angry when Akash shifts the raga while she is playing the flute. Both get into a spat and argue in front of their friends. That day, they decide to go on a week-long road trip to talk things through and then decide about marriage. So, the journey begins in Doora Theera Yaana.

The movie explores nature, filled with adventure from travel in a fishermen’s boat to trekking, rafting, and scuba diving on their road trip, which is packed with scenic visuals. The content mainly focuses on the discussions they have with each other and includes multiple special cameos that appear one by one along this journey Arun Sagar plays a carefree musician, Krishna Hebbale appears as a helpful innkeeper, and Vijay Shobaraj Pavoor steps in as Akash’s long-lost childhood friend. They also meet a refreshingly content divorced couple portrayed by Sharath Lohithashwa and Sudha Belawadi, and Sruthi Hariharan makes a striking appearance as Gowri, reprising her role from Nathicharami. These brief yet meaningful encounters deepen the narrative, prompting the couple to question and re-evaluate their understanding of love, compatibility, and long-term commitment.

Doora Theera Yaana slowly pulls you in, making you a part of their journey while also allowing you to feel the emotions that prompt introspection about your own thoughts on relationships, commitments, and love, as the story unfolds. The dialogues are well written, with good performances from Vijay Krishna and Priyanka Kumar. The visuals and music complement the content in the best way possible. All the songs from the movie stay with you even after it ends. This is not a love story, it’s a story that discusses love. If you prefer a thought-provoking road trip story, this is an easy watch.
