Under the banner of Inchar Puttanna Production, the Kannada film Amrutha Mathi, produced by Puttanna and directed by Baraguru Ramachandrappa, is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime’s OTT platform. Viewers can now watch this film on Amazon Prime.
Amrutha Mathi is based on the 13th-century Kannada poet Janna’s poetic episode Yashodhara Charite. The film uniquely recreates and narrates the original storyline, making it a standout. Re-creation has a longstanding tradition in Kannada literature, and this film continues that legacy.
Apart from direction, Baraguru Ramachandrappa has also handled the story, dialogues, and lyrics. Renowned actress Hariprriya appears in the role of Amrutha Mathi, and multilingual actor Kishore plays Yashodhara. The cast also includes veteran actor Sundarraj, Prameela Joshai, Tilak, Ambarish Sarangi, Vatsala Mohan, Supriya Rao, among others.
Suresh Urs has handled editing, Nagraj Adavani is the cinematographer, music is composed by Shamitha Malnad, and choreography is by Tribhuvan.
