Based on a tragic love story that unfolded during the 1990s, the film Preetiya Huchcha, produced under the banner of Kumar Movies by B.G. Nandakumar and V. Kumar, is releasing across the state this week.
This is a real-life incident that occurred between Arsikere and Shravanabelagola during the 90s. It tells the story of how a Dalit girl was treated by a Gowda family. On the very first night of her marriage, the girl falls into the trap of evil-doers and is later sold into the red-light area of Mumbai, facing immense hardships. The film also portrays the state of the protagonist after losing his wife.
V. Kumar himself has written the story, screenplay, and dialogues for this film and has directed it as well.
The cast includes Vijay, Kunkuma Harihara, Dashavara Chandru, Dubai Rafeeq, Umesh Pung, Alisha, R. Chandru, Pushpalatha, Jogi Nagaraj, Poornima, V. Bhaskar Raj, Mahadevaswamy, Geetha, Sunitha, Pramod, Mahadev, Anand, and item dancer Alisha among others.
