The movie Arindam revolves around the life of a young man with maturity and intelligence beyond his years, depicting his battle against evil forces while intertwining love and romance. Written, scripted, and directed by Kalki Agastya, the film recently saw the release of two lyrical songs along with a press meet.
Kalki Agastya, who also plays the protagonist in the film, shared his thoughts “I am originally from Dharwad. A group of passionate young filmmakers has come together to create a meaningful movie. Arindam narrates the ups and downs in the life of a young man named Kaali and his love story. The film is set in 2008. ‘Ari’ means enemy, and ‘Dham’ means destroyer—symbolizing Shiva and Vishnu.
Although Kaali is only 20 years old, he behaves like a 40-year-old. He speaks less, but when he does, his words carry great weight. Having lost his mother at a young age, he stands up to protect his loved ones, leading to a web of conspiracies against him. Arindam portrays how he overcomes these challenges. Filming and post-production are complete, and we will soon release a duet song,” he explained.
Actress Shwetha Bhatt expressed her excitement, saying “This is my debut film. After this, I participated in Mahanati and became a finalist. I have also acted in a couple of serials and films. In this movie, I play an innocent girl who faces various challenges in her life. The film was shot in Dandeli for two months.”
Music director Santosh Joshwa shared his insights “This is my third film. The movie features two mass tracks and one love song. We have experimented with different emotions in the background score.”
Additionally, cast members Raman, Praveen, and Vinod spoke about their roles. The cinematography is handled by Kayaj, while Subbu has choreographed the action sequences.
