Title – Apayavide Echcharike | Producers – VG Manjunath and Purnima M Gowda | Director – Abhijit Thirthahalli | Cinematography & Music – Sunad Gautham | Cast – Vikas Utthaya, Raghav Kodachadri, Mithun Thirthahalli, Radha Bhagawat, Ashwin Haasan, Dev, and others.

With a splendid second half, Apayavide Echcharike delivers an edge-of-the-seat narrative. However, the gripping pace seen in the latter half was much needed in the first half to avoid moments of sluggishness.

Like many newcomers, Abhijit Thirthahalli falters in the first half with a laborious narrative but emerges as a winner in the second. The latter portion is packed with nail-biting sequences, especially when the film transitions into a forest backdrop.

Produced by VG Manjunath and Purnima M Gowda, Apayavide Echcharike is undoubtedly a content-driven film with dangerous twists and turns in the second half.

Three young graduates—Soori, Gabari, and Pettige—struggle to make a living. Despite setbacks, they display remarkable resilience in the first half. Eager for a shortcut to success, they venture into dubious paths, searching for a double-headed snake, sandalwood, and even a ‘rice-pulling’ artifact, all in pursuit of wealth.

Their pursuit eventually leads them to the forest, where unexpected and eerie events unfold. The presence of Rana Pretha turns into a nightmare. A series of shocking developments keeps the trio on edge, and the discovery of a treasure box intensifies the drama. Just when they think they have struck gold, the arrival of Sripada (Ashwin Haasan) brings further turbulence.

With a treasure box on one side and Sripada causing havoc, what happens next? That’s what makes this film an intriguing watch on the silver screen.

Vikas Utthaya as Soori, along with Raghav Kodachadri and Mithun Thirthahalli as his friends, deliver commendable performances. Radha Bhagawat, playing the role of a Brahmin girl named Radha, is convincing in her portrayal.

For seasoned actor Ashwin Haasan, the role of Sripada is intense, and he handles it with ease. His deep and powerful voice adds an extra dimension to his character.

Sunad Gautham, who doubles as both music director and cinematographer, has effectively handled the film’s suspense-adventure-horror elements. The movie features three songs, including a romantic track.

Handling both cinematography and music is no easy feat, but Sunad Gautham delivers impactful visuals that enhance the film’s tense moments.

With its catchy title, Apayavide Echcharike offers an absorbing second half that makes it worth a watch.
