Renowned singer K.S. Chitra, known for her melodious voice, has returned to Kannada cinema after a long break to lend her voice to a song for the movie “VIP.” The film, starring Vasishta Simha, is currently being shot in and around Bangalore.

Chitra recently recorded the song “Baro Kanda,” which explores the bond between mother and son, penned by Dr. V. Nagendra Prasad. The recording took place in Chennai, with music composed by Harshavardhan Raj.

Executive producer Afzal expressed his delight: “We are very happy that the country’s popular singer Chitra has sung a song for our movie. She has sung ‘Baro Kanda’ beautifully. After recording, she asked music director Harshavardhan Raj if he liked her singing and offered to sing it again if needed. Her simplicity, despite being such a great singer, is exemplary to all of us.” He also noted that the shooting for “VIP” is ongoing around Bangalore.
