The popular actor, director, and producer Dhuniya Vijay sent his daughter Monisha to the USA for studies and invited his second daughter, Monica, to join his 29th film. Monica, now Ritanya Vijay, is making her debut and appears as Duniya Vijay’s daughter in the film. Ritanya studied cinema acting in Mumbai and steps into the limelight.

Interestingly, the mega-hit film producer of ‘Sarathi,’ K Sathya Prakash, is back with his son in ‘Sarathi Films.’ Directed by Jadesha K Hampi, the writer of ‘Gentleman,’ ‘Guru Shishyaru,’ and ‘Kaatera Jadesh K Hampi,’ this VK29 project marks their collaboration.

The film’s muhurth took place at Sriveeranjaneyaswamy Temple in Mahalakshmipur. MLA Shri Gopalayya sounded the clapboard, with Director Tarun Sudhir directing the first shot. Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce President NM Suresh, Producers Association President Umesh Bankar, and many dignitaries from the Kannada film industry attended the Muhurta ceremony and extended their well wishes.

Rachita Ram plays the female lead, while Duniya Vijay’s daughter Ritanya (Monica) makes her entry into the film industry through this project. Shishir of “Dare Devil Mustafa” fame also takes on a lead role.

Director Jadesha K Hampi shared that the film is based on a true story he has witnessed and heard, focusing on the common people rather than rulers. Set in the Kolar region, the dialogue reflects the local accent, with Masti Manju penning the lines, given his roots in Kolar. The narrative unfolds in the 90s, with inspiration drawn from the character Choma in Shivaram Karanth’s “Chomana Dudi.”

The film, produced by Sathyaprakash and his son Suraj, commenced within twenty days of conception. Lavish sets are being erected in Bangalore, with shooting locations spanning Kolar and Mysore.

Swami Gowda handles cinematography for the film, notable for being a father-son production with father-daughter acting. Ritanya, who trained at the Anupam Kher Institute in Mumbai, shares the screen with her father. Duniya Vijay expressed pride in his daughter’s debut, praising Jadesh’s storytelling and expressing confidence in his directorial prowess. He also commended Sathyaprakash’s return to production after a hiatus.

Ritanya (Monica) expressed her happiness in acting alongside her father for her debut film, adopting the name Ritanya henceforth, and hopes for encouragement from the audience.

Reflecting on his return to production, Sathyaprakash expressed gratitude for the support and introduced his son Suraj Gowda, who joins him in this venture.
