Applauded at the recent 15th Bengaluru International Film Festival, a content-based family-oriented cinema, ‘Line Man’, is all set for release on March 22, 2024, all over Karnataka. It is made in Kannada and Telugu languages.
“Line Man,” produced by Purple Rock, which has been delivering a variety of films to the Kannada film industry, produced in Kannada and Telugu, will be released simultaneously in both languages.
This is a story born during the lockdown. The lockdown has provided a lot of experiences to many people. During the lockdown, I thought that we were more concerned about what we don’t want than what we need. When the electricity goes out, we call KEB, but if there is a grandmother at home, she narrates the old tales. Various emotions emerge at such times, and keeping in mind many such factors, I wrote the story. Purple Rock Company has taken up the production of the film. Most of the shooting took place in Chandakawadi, Chamarajanagar, which is my hometown. I would like to thank the people of my town and the film crew for their cooperation in making the shooting go smoothly. The film was screened at the recently held Bangalore International Film Festival and received critical acclaim. Director Raghu Shastri said that the film will hit the screens on March 22 in Kannada and Telugu languages.
This is the third film produced by our company, Purple Rock. Yatish Venkatesh, Srinivas Bindiganavile, Ajay Radir, and I, the producers of this film, disclosed Purple Rock Ganesh Papanna. We only do this kind of content-based films and invite fresh talent, he affirmed.
Trigun, who is popular in Telugu, has played the lead role in this film. Kajal Kunder, B. Jayashree, Mico Nagaraj, Harini, Kamala, and Anjali of “Tarlenanmaga” fame are also in the star cast of this film, said Ganesh Papanna, one of the producers.
Cinematography by Shanti Sagar, the film has three songs, and music is composed by Manikanth Kadri. Prachura PP, Jyoti Raghu Shastri, and Manikanth Kadri are the co-producers of this film.
It is from this film ‘Line Man’ Manikanth Khadri is also an actor, co-producer, and music composer of the film. The team of ‘Line Man’ invited a few of the real-life Line Men and felicitated them. It looked very ideal for the occasion.
