The title “Suryavamsha” stands out as a cinematic success across major languages, notably featuring Dr. Vishnuvardhana, contributing to its significant box office performance. This fact has been established for decades, with numerous developments associated with this title. Recently, the renowned director S. Narayan, known for the Kannada film “Suryavamsha,” announced the production of a mega television serial airing on Udaya TV. However, after 20-plus episodes, “Suryavamsha” faced disruptions and failed to sustain its momentum.

Now, with everything considered, the executives at Udaya TV, Mr. Selvam and Mr. Vijayakumar, have made a decisive move to revive “Suryavamsha” as a mega serial once again. In place of S. Narayan, the experienced technician Prakash has taken charge, with Anirudh Jathkar poised to continue the legacy, being the son-in-law of Dr. Vishnuvardhana.

“Suryavamsha” is set to premiere on Udaya TV on March 11th, airing Monday to Saturday at 8 pm.

In this mega serial, Anirudh Jathkar, the son-in-law of Dr. Vishnuvardhana, takes on multiple roles as the main star cast. Additionally, legacy actor Vikram Udayakumar, son of the eminent Kannada actor Udayakumar, plays a significant role.

Joining Anirudh and Vikram is Dr. Sunder Raj, a veteran actor with over four decades of experience, who portrays the role of Sathyamurthy, Anirudh’s grandfather, in the mega serial. Dr. Sunder Raj has stipulated certain conditions to the makers, emphasizing the importance of maintaining quality and tradition. He recalls that the title “Udaya” was bestowed by Dr. Srinath, a veteran actor, and praises Anirudh’s acting abilities, having observed him in the Benaka theater group. Sunder Raj also commends the dialogue writer Yoganand and cinematographer Shivu for their contributions to elevating TV serials.

Vikram Udayakumar expresses his delight in portraying the role of Kalinga in the mega serial, reflecting on the preparation he underwent, including growing a beard and mustache for the character.

Anirudh Jathakar returns to the small screen after the mega serial “Jothe Jotheyali,” considering this endeavor a pivotal moment in his career. He embodies the roles of Suryavardhana and Karna, each holding significant importance within the narrative. Anirudh emphasizes the team’s dedication and the prestigious nature of the title, aiming to rectify past mistakes by infusing emotional and entertaining elements into “Suryavamsha.”

Padmanabha, a producer renowned for three top Kannada films, has entrusted the TV rights of his productions to Udaya TV, now collaborating with the channel as the producer of “Suryavamsha.” He acknowledges Udaya TV, particularly Mr. Selvam and Mr. Vijayakumar, as his mentors.

Episode director Prakash exudes enthusiasm, envisioning an extensive run for “Suryavamsha,” aiming for 5000 episodes. He is currently overseeing the shooting of 20-plus episodes in the Kanakapura region, clarifying that the main story originates from Udaya TV.

Ashwini, a talented actress cast as Surabhi in “Suryavamsha,” embraces her heightened responsibility with the prestigious title and dedicated team.

Ramaswamy, a seasoned actor with over 10,000 episodes to his credit, assumes the role of a father once again in the mega serial, albeit with a somewhat subdued character compared to his previous roles.

Lokesh features in his second TV serial on Udaya TV, portraying a character afflicted with amnesia, characterized by short-term memory loss.

The cast also includes Ravi Bhat, Sundarasri, Pushpa Belawadi, Nayana Ramaswamy, Sunanda, and others, with Shivaraju serving as the cinematographer for the mega serial “Suryavamsha.”
