The trials and tribulations of a Kabaddi sports player are the main focus of the ‘Parshu’ Kannada film that recently went into production. Eminent director Simple Suni and Sapthami Gowda’s father, Umesh, were present on Wednesday morning to support the team.
A new team has embarked on an adventure to bring the tragic story of a state-level Kabaddi player to the screen. The film is titled ‘Parshu’.
To unveil the title, the film team of ‘Parshu’ appeared before the media. Director Simple Suni, former police officer, and Sapthami Gowda’s father HC Umesh, as well as Kashinath’s son Abhimanyu, supported the team of ‘Parshu’.
Rudra Srinivas is directing the action for the movie ‘Parshu’. This marks Srinivas’s directorial debut, although he is not new to cinema, having worked in Urvashi cinema for many years. Now, he has entered Sandalwood as a director. Parashuram is investing in the film ‘Parshu’ and will also be seen in the role of an abused Kabaddi player.
The incident took place in 2014 and 2015 and revolves around a state-level Kabaddi player from Mysore. It’s the story of a man whose dreams of becoming a successful player were shattered when the police filed a false case against him, landing him in jail and ruining his life and that of his entire family. The film team, having thoroughly researched this aspect, is endeavoring to bring it to the screen.
Ex-police officer HC Umesh, who unveiled the poster, said, “I am also providing a lot of input for this movie. My support will be there.” Director Simple Suni added, “This story is perfect. It’s based on a real incident, and Parashu himself is suitable for this movie.” Actor Kashinath’s son remarked, “When I heard the story, I liked it very much. Additionally, it was also heart-wrenching.”
Director Srinivas explained that the film depicts the oppression of the poor. “I stayed with that family for a few days while developing this story,” he said.
Producer Parasuram stated, “We have worked on the story of this movie for many years. It’s the tragic life event of a talented player who did nothing wrong. I urge you to support the film to bring it to the audience.”
