In an interesting development on Tuesday morning at Prasanna Theater, during the 50th-year celebration of ‘Kaatera’ and the 25th-year event of challenging star Darshan, in a crowded gathering, there were some admissions and frank comebacks.

While the trio function went on well, the question raised to challenging star Darshan on whether ‘Raja Veera Madhakari’ would continue, and what about the fancy figures of ‘Kaatera’ collections to producer Rockline Venkatesh? The answers came straight from the hearts of the two.

Firstly, Darshan on ‘Raja Veera Madhakari’ was launched long ago and a week-long shoot was also held with nationally acclaimed director SV Rajendra Singh heading the megaphone. It is now a closed chapter. Darshan remarked that we did not get the ‘grip’ to continue ‘Raja Veera Madhakari’ historical cinema. We started it, but I told my producer Rockline Venkatesh that the film was missing something from the beginning. In lieu of it, I have done ‘Kaatera’ Kannada cinema, stated Darshan.

According to highly placed sources, more than Rs. 50 lakhs have been spent on the ‘Raja Veera Madhakari’ historical project, and it is now shelved.

Rockline Venkatesh, reacting to the collections made by ‘Kaatera’, stated that ‘Raja Veera Madhakari’ was his dream project, and he had put two years of effort into it. Regarding the collections of ‘Kaatera’, he said that from the collection reports on social media and YouTube, he has received four notices. Hitherto, the Income Tax department had been coming, but now the Enforcement Directorate has also come with these figures. The magic figures and number game played by a few suspicious elements have been rounded off. Four persons have been caught giving fake figures of ‘Kaatera’ collections. Notices have been issued to them to prove the figures they have fed to social media, stated Rockline Venkatesh.

Regarding the actual collections, Rockline Venkatesh was tight-lipped. He invited the media to come to his office to know A to Z of the ‘Kaatera’ collections.
