One of the prolific actors and versatile indeed Rajesh Nataranga returns to stage plays after 20 years. Driven by an urge to explore new possibilities in theatre, the team Kaladyuti Productions has come to life. While re-presenting plays that once thrilled audience, the team also aims to undertake a few experimental efforts. The play ‘Undaadi Gunda’, staged by Kaladyuti Productions, was successful. Now, as its second step, the play Male Nilluvavarege will be staged on September 17 at 7:30 p.m. at Chowdiah Memorial Hall in Bengaluru.
The special feature is that actor Rajesh Natarang is returning to theatre through ‘Male Nilluvavarege’, a play adapted into Kannada from a German story by renowned actor and writer L.S. Sudheendra. Rajesh Natarang, who has made his own mark as an actor, shares a close bond with theatre. After a full twenty years, Rajesh is returning to the stage with this play. This gives all his fans an opportunity to watch their favorite actor’s acting skills live, right before their eyes.
The play will be directed by Sharath Parvathavani. A thrilling play in the suspense genre, ‘Male Nilluvavarege’ begins like a game and takes several surprising turns, unfolding a suspenseful storyline among unique characters. With the quality of keeping the audience on the edge of their seats every moment, this play is set to offer a wonderful experience to the new generation as well. If the younger generation watches and enjoys it, the core vision of Kaladyuti Productions will have been fulfilled.
The play was written by L.S. Sudheendra, who was a Class 1 KAS officer. Despite being a government officer, Sudheendra had immense love for the arts and, during his service, carried out many works that supported theatre.
The Kaladyuti team, with the assistance of Richard Louis, contacted Sudheendra’s family, as he is no longer with us. After making considerable efforts, they obtained a copy of this play and are bringing it before the audience with a fresh touch.
Pradeep Belawadi, a well-known name in the advertising production world, will design the set for this play. Overall, the moment is fast approaching for a new wave to emerge in the theatre world through the play ‘Male Nilluvavarege’.
