After a stunning teaser release in the presence of Union Minister V. Somanna and D.K. Suresh, the team of Sainika 2 addressed the media.
“I was sixteen years old when Sainika was released. The songs from that film remain popular even today. I am delighted to direct the sequel to that film. It is based on a realistic storyline. Yogeeshwar himself has taken responsibility for the story. Dhyan possesses all the qualities required to become a successful hero. The story is not yet complete. The film is expected to go on floors next year,” said Sainika 2 director Puneeth Rudranag.
“I have known C.P. Yogeeshwar for thirty years. I was associated with him during the making of Sainika, and it is a pleasure to be with him again now for his son’s debut film,” said executive producer K.P. Sreekanth.
“C.P. Yogeeshwar has been my friend for many years. I am very happy to launch Sainika 2, in which both he and his son are acting. I wish the film great success,” said Union Minister V. Somanna.
C.P. Yogeeshwar expressed that there are several real-life incidents in the story of Sainika 2. “What I wanted to fulfil in my cinema profession, I want to see in my son Dhyan. Coming to politics was an accident. I came to cinema and later came to know the ‘Shrama and Horata’ in the industry. By the middle of next year, Sainika 2 will be in full swing,” expressed Yogeeshwar. “The Soldier is Back” is a fitting statement on this occasion.
Dhyan, looking handsome and well fit for the two films, promised that he would put in hard work and deliver the required quota for the two directors, Naganna and Puneeth Rudranag.
Apparently, Sainika 2 is being made in five languages, and it easily touches Pan-India status.
