Producer Prakash Budoor, who is currently producing ‘Mahaan’ starring Vijay Raghavendra under the Aakash Pictures banner, has announced a new film with Darling Krishna in the lead. The film will be directed by P.C. Shekar, who is also directing ‘Mahaan’.

The project was launched with a simple pooja ceremony at Sri Mahalakshmi Temple in Sheshadripuram. Producer Prakash Budoor, director P.C. Shekar and lead actor Darling Krishna attended the event. The makers have only announced the project, while the film’s title and other details will be revealed at a later date.

Speaking about the project, producer Prakash Budoor said this is his second collaboration with director P.C. Shekar after ‘Mahaan’. He said his experience working with the director strengthened his confidence in Shekar’s storytelling style, filmmaking approach and ability to present commercial entertainers.

Budoor said he was drawn to the story when P.C. Shekar narrated it for the first time, adding that the central character was one of the main reasons he decided to produce the film. He said Darling Krishna was the only actor who came to his mind while listening to the narration and was chosen for the role.

Darling Krishna said the film marks his second collaboration with P.C. Shekar after ‘Love Birds’. He described it as a film belonging to a new genre for both him and the director and said he is playing a character unlike any he has portrayed before. He added that the film is intended to provide two-and-a-half hours of entertainment for audiences. Krishna also said he was happy to work with producer Prakash Budoor, whom he described as someone who has a strong interest in Kannada cinema.

Director P.C. Shekar said the project is his second film with Darling Krishna after ‘Love Birds’ and his second collaboration with producer Prakash Budoor after ‘Mahaan’. He said the film is a comedy entertainer with a thriller storyline and belongs to a genre that is new to both him and Krishna.
