The Kannada film Raitara Makkalige Hennu Kodi has completed production and received certification ahead of its release.
The film is based on the issue of daughters being married into farmers’ families, a topic that has been discussed for generations and continues to remain relevant. The story focuses on the difficulties faced by farmers’ children in finding brides and how the issue has affected their lives across the state.
Kempuram Hadiyala has written the story, screenplay, dialogues and lyrics, besides directing and producing the film under the banner of Melluligana Production.
According to the makers, the film presents different experiences connected to the lives of farmers and portrays emotional and serious aspects linked to the issue in a thought-provoking manner. The narrative also focuses on characters and situations that reflect realities from everyday life. The film carries the message that while those who keep winning create history, those who lose and rise again change history.
The film features several theatre artists in its cast, including Jagadish Mooka, Divyashree, Jai Amogh Das, Agastya Prem, Santosh Jogul and Ashwini.
Music, cinematography and editing for the film have been handled by Rohan S Desai. Action choreography has been done by Santosh Rathod, while dance choreography has been handled by Akul Master, Ajay Jai Krishna and Sakshi.
The film has been shot in and around Hubballi, Dharwad and Belagavi.
