Dr. R. Dhanaraj two films muhurat was held at Kadri Sri Manjunatheshwara temple recently. “Koragla Taniya” and “Kana” going on the floors on the same day is a new feat indeed.
Under the banner of Prarthana Creations, Dr. R. Dhanaraj, known for Koti Chennayya, has produced and is directing the films “Koragla Taniya” (Koragajja) and “Kana.” For the first shot of “Koragla Taniya,” MLA C.B. Suresh Babu gave the clap, while A.G. Shetty, head of the Kadri Manjunatheshwara Temple, showed the inaugural board.
Later, for the Tulu film “Kana,” Vijaykumar Kodialbail switched on the camera, while actor Suman Talwar, who plays a key role, showed the clapboard.
After the muhurat, a stage program was held in the temple premises. The event was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Dr. R. Dhanaraj’s mother, K. Pushpa.
Speaking on the occasion, lead actor Suman Talwar said 20 years ago, Dhanaraj had produced the successful film Koti Chennayya, which brought him great recognition. Now, he is also acting in an important role in Dhanaraj’s film. He also stated that films which introduce language, tradition, and culture to the world should be given subsidies and tax exemptions by the government.
Producer-director R. Dhanaraj said that both films being produced under their banner have strong storylines and meaningful messages, and will be made in multiple languages. MLA C.B. Suresh Babu presided over the event.
Director Vijay Kumar Kodialbail, Pammi Kodialbail, the film’s heroine, and several other dignitaries were present at the function.
“Koragla Taniya,” which is being made in six languages including Kannada and Tulu, has story, screenplay, and dialogues written by Dr. R. Dhanaraj, who is also directing and producing the film.
Archana Shetty is the co-producer of both films. Young actors Sajan Shetty and Nikhil Imani are part of the main cast.
