Renowned Kannada film stylish director Indrajit Lankesh has once again made a grand entry into the Hindi film industry. He is quietly directing a Hindi film titled ‘Jai Hind Jai Sindh’, and most of the shooting has already been completed. The final schedule of the film is currently progressing vigorously in Uttarakhand. The last Hindi film he made was ‘Shakeela’ starring Richa Chadda in title role with renowned actor Pankaj Tripathi in 2020.
Along with the release of the motion poster of ‘Jai Hind Jai Sindh’ in Dehradun, the film’s first press conference was held in a grand manner. Journalists from across the country attended the event in large numbers. At the packed press meet, apart from Indrajit, producer Sammy Nanwani, Akasha Vats, Vikram Kochhar and others were present.
‘Jai Hind Jai Sindh’ is being produced by Sammy Nanwani under the banner of Sammy’s Entertainment. The film features talented actors like Mahesh Manjrekar, Vikram Kochhar, Zarina Wahab, Jaya Prada, Upasana Singh, Amit Behl and others in prominent roles. Through this film, Indrajit Lankesh is introducing four new talents to the film industry as actors.
Speaking about the film at the press conference, director Indrajit Lankesh said, “This is a love story in which the Partition of the country plays a key role. Through this film, I have tried to convey the theme of unity in diversity. I have attempted to depict how the people of the Sindh province suffered during the Partition, and how they overcame it and rebuilt their lives.”
Indrajit said that from his very first film, he has consistently made efforts to introduce new actors and actresses. “I introduced singer Vasundhara Das as a heroine through the film ‘Lankesh Patrike’, and introduced Deepika Padukone through the film ‘Aishwarya’. Now, through this film, I am introducing four new talents to the industry,” he said.
‘Jai Hind Jai Sindh’ is expected to complete shooting soon, and the film is likely to be released around the middle of this year.
