Here is a cool and sensible film from producers Santosh Kumar and Bhargavi. We have heard of ‘Sukhibhava’ in various circumstances. Here in this film ‘Sukhibhava’, director Rajesh Naidu says that it exists even in love — ‘Sukhibhava’. Love at a tender age, growing through the years, finally turns into ‘Sukhibhava’. In this rather protracted 146-minute screenplay, there was room to cut down some portions. Yet, there is a sigh of high relief for the intelligence and craftsmanship of the director, who is also the story writer and dialogue writer for this film.

‘Ondalla Ondu Riti Ondugoododu Priti’ is so apt for the film ‘Sukhibhava’. The screenplay never bothers the family audience, and the pattern that the director pitches for the film is also novel. Vaibhav (Vihanshi Hegde) loses his mother, and his father is forcibly given a task by his company that obviously lands him in the hands of a Father in the church. Vaibhav is taught good manners, and he believes that the one whom he loves would reciprocate.

At an adolescent age, Vaibhav likes Thara from Jnanajyothi School, but it is not reciprocated. Vaibhav learns that status is very important to love a girl. Of course, he also receives advice that it is not the age to fall in love. Vaibhav takes life seriously, and as he grows, he gets into a comfortable placement in life. His worry is that his father has discarded him. This issue is sorted out by the Father in the church.

Now, the dear son Vaibhav is back in the life of Soorya (Ravishanker Gowda), and by this time, Urmi falls in love with him. When it is time for the engagement, the happy Vaibhav learns that Vikram (Gaurav Shetty) is the childhood lover of Urmi. So, whenever Vaibhav loves someone or someone loves Vaibhav, love disappears from his life.

Apparently, Thara, the childhood friend who gave golden advice to Vaibhav, comes onto the scene. It is Thara who has been closely observing Vaibhav’s growth and is only waiting for time to heal everything. As the film comes close to the climax, Vaibhav and Thara meet, but what happens in ‘Sukhibhava’ is something you have to watch with patience.

‘Sukhibhava’ has exotic locations that have come out very well in the cinematography of Manjunath Nayak. Three songs are pretty good by Subam and BJ Bharat. Katthettu Nodada Hudugi… during the young age of the protagonist, Rangu Rangu…, and Olavina Sagaradolage…, a travel song, are melodious.

Vihanshi Hegde looks handsome and has created his own style for this film, which looks pretty good. His emotions are well portrayed, and his dialogue delivery is also appreciable. Sushmitha Nayak and Manaswi have given the best support in their roles. Ravishanker Gowda, known for comedy roles, has taken up an emotional role and has done well. Shobaraj, Sunil Puranik, Gaurav Shetty, Santhu Tukali, Mythri Jaggi, and others have given admirable support in their respective roles.

This is a family-audience film with good emotions and situations that turn into hardships.
