Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar said that the film Vrishabha should move forward “like a bull” and wished actor Samarjit Lankesh well. The statement was made during a recent event held in Bengaluru in connection with the film.
Starring Malayalam actor Mohanlal in the lead role along with Samarjit Lankesh, Vrishabha is scheduled for a worldwide release on December 25. The film will be released in five languages. Addressing the gathering, Shivakumar said that Samarjit Lankesh, the grandson of Lankesh and son of Indrajit Lankesh, has acted alongside Mohanlal in the film. He expressed hope that the film would progress strongly across the country and wished Samarjit Lankesh success. Shivakumar also mentioned that during a recent visit to Mumbai, he was pleased to hear positive remarks from Bollywood circles about Kannada films.
The film Vrishabha revolves around an emotional narrative centred on the bond between a father and son. It is presented with large-scale visuals and action sequences. The cast includes Mohanlal, Samarjit Lankesh, Ragini Dwivedi, Nayan Sarika, Ajay, Neha Saxena, Garuda Ram, Vinay Varma, Ali, Ayyappa P. Sharma, and Kishore.
The technical crew includes music by Sam C.S., sound design by Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty, and dialogues written by S.R.K., Janardhan Maharshi, and Karthik. Action sequences have been choreographed by Peter Hein, Stunt Silva, Ganesh, and Nikhil.
The film is presented by Balaji Telefilms and Connect Media, in association with Abhishek S. Vyas Studios. The producers are Shobha Kapoor, Ekta R. Kapoor, C.K. Padmakumar, Varun Mathur, Saurabh Mishra, Abhishek S. Vyas, Praveer Singh, Vishal Gurnani, and Juhi Parekh Mehta. Vimal Lahoti has served as co-producer. The film is directed by Nandakishore.
Vrishabha has been simultaneously shot in Malayalam and Telugu and will be dubbed and released in Kannada and Hindi as well. The film is set for a worldwide theatrical release on December 25.
