The trailer of the film Vrushabha, directed by Sandalwood filmmaker Nanda Kishore, has been released. The trailer launch event was held in Kochi yesterday. Actors Mohanlal, Samarjit Lankesh, Ragini Dwivedi, and Nayan Sarika, along with director Nanda Kishore, were present at the event.
Producers Varun Mathur, Abhishek S. Vyas, and Sanjay Dwivedi, Group CEO and CFO of Balaji Telefilms, also attended the programme.
Vrushabha is a story based on love, fate, and sacrifice. Mohanlal appears in a dual role in the film. In the flashback portions, he is seen as Raja Vijayendra Vrushabha, while in the present timeline, he plays the role of a successful businessman. Samarjit Lankesh plays his son. The story follows the son’s struggle against fate and fear to protect his father. The trailer features several high-action sequences. Ragini Dwivedi, Nayan Sarika, Ajay, and Garuda Ram are also featured prominently in the trailer.
Producer Ekta R. Kapoor said that Vrushabha is more than just a film for them and described it as an important milestone in their pan-Indian journey. She thanked Mohanlal for the opportunity and said that working under the direction of Nanda Kishore with a committed cast and crew was a meaningful experience.
Director Nanda Kishore said that the film is a story that connects hearts across time and revolves around a father-son action saga bound by love, fate, and sacrifice. He said that working with Mohanlal was an important experience and spoke about the actor’s approach to the story and the filmmaking process. He also mentioned that audiences will see emerging talent in Samarjit Lankesh and Nayan Sarika. He acknowledged the efforts of the technical team involved in bringing the story to the screen.
Vrushabha is presented by Connect Media and Balaji Telefilms in association with Abhishek S. Vyas Studios. The film is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, C. K. Padma Kumar, Varun Mathur, Saurabh Mishra, Abhishek S. Vyas, Praveer Singh, Vishal Gurnani, and Juhi Parekh Mehta. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on December 25.
