Tulu superstar Arjun Kapikad (Arjun Dev) stars in and directs the much-awaited film ‘Toss’, which will release across Karnataka on September 18.
Produced by Avika Productions, B.R.B Productions and P & Y World Tours LLP (Sagar Poojary), the film has been made simultaneously in Tulu and Kannada.
Under their Golden Movies banner, Golden Star Ganesh and Shilpa Ganesh are presenting the film in Kannada. Impressed by the film’s making and its content, Shilpa Ganesh is introducing coastal star Arjun Kapikad as a Kannada lead actor.
The film’s content and glimpses have also impressed Dr. Shivaraj Kumar, who conveyed his best wishes to the team.
Veteran artiste Dr. Devadas Kapikad, who has written the story, screenplay, dialogues and lyrics, also plays a key role. Praising his son, he said, “At home, Arjun Dev is my son, but when it comes to work, he is an excellent technician.”
Music is composed by Manikanth Kadri. The first song, ‘Hello Hello Neelambari’, featuring lyrics by Yogaraj Bhat and vocals by Armaan Malik, has been trending. The second song, ‘Mira Mira Minchutta Nanna Kannige Biddole’, has lyrics by Nagarjun Sharma, while another song features lyrics by Pramod Maravanthe.
The cast includes Sutej Shetty, Garuda Ram, Balaji Manohar, Krithi Shetty and Dr. Devadas Kapikad. Cinematography is by Joel Sherman D’Souza and editing by Yashwin K. Shettiger.
Arjun Dev said, “I have been in the film industry since 2012. My goal is to continue making films until my last breath.” The film has generated strong expectations across coastal Karnataka and the state ahead of its September 18 release.
