The audio of ‘Tarangantharanga’, a suspense thriller featuring the distinctive culture and nativity of Kundapura, was launched today. Produced and directed by Srisha, who also plays the lead role, the film has completed its journey to the censor process and is expected to hit theatres later this year.

Produced under the Vishnu Studio banner, with Driksha Audios associated with the music, the film promises an intriguing story that blends suspense, destiny and the mysteries of previous births. The makers have spent nearly six years bringing the project to fruition.

The film features songs that capture the flavour of coastal Karnataka, particularly the distinctive Kundapura Kannada dialect. Among them are Jeevana Boru Aadru Uppu Swalpa Kadime Aadru and Sama Kooduva. The songs explore life’s experiences through regional expressions, proverbs and philosophical thoughts.

Music director Praveen has experimented with the musical presentation, incorporating more than 15 proverbs into one of the songs. He described this as a new experience for him. Nagarjuna Sharma has penned the lyrics for one of the songs, while Varijasri has contributed lyrics for the proverb-based number. The song Saguthide Jeevana has also been added to the film’s musical repertoire. One of the two music directors Pradeep said the film offered him an opportunity to experiment with a different musical style. The use of more than 15 proverbs in a song was one of the notable aspects of the musical composition.

The makers said the songs have been designed to complement the film’s narrative and reflect the language, culture and everyday expressions of the coastal region.
