Very talented writer Vijayanand (Anandapriya) has assorted jokes and added a kidnap and murder issue to make this a laugh riot. No doubt, the writer-cum-director is talented. However, in keeping a title like ‘Super Hit,’ he has not reached the top notch to make it suitable to the title. A number of situations are stale and old. For the sake of comedy, the director has forcibly added situations to evoke laughter.

With comedy actors, good performances are the first hallmark of this film. Had the content been fresh and strong, it would have been a different matter. What is ‘Super Hit’ with a caption of running successfully? In the 135-minute narration, the murder of journalist Ramesh takes a major share of the story. On the other hand, LKB (Sadhu Kokila) makes frantic efforts to stage his own kidnapping so that he can get a ransom of Rs. 1 crore from his wife. This gives a push to the screenplay, and thus the trio unknowingly travels together in a car.
Bhupathi (Gilli Nata), who claims himself to be ‘Munna Bhai,’ Sathya (Gaurav Shetty), and Madhu (Shwetha) board a parked car in front of an apartment. There is a load in the car’s dickey. As the car moves, the trio is forced to reveal their identities. It is revealed that all of them are fake.

The screenplay then shifts to David and D’Souza’s game plan. From a meeting, it is discovered that the murder of journalist Ramesh of the Hingadre Henge tabloid has taken place, and the evidence is stored in a pen drive. Now, the search for the pen drive takes center stage. Politics also enters the issue, with the police investigating it.
As the search for the pen drive becomes intense, it is revealed that Madhu, alias Ahalya, alias Apsara, holds it. She has a different motive — to become a lawyer in her life. As she reaches the courtroom, the original content in the pen drive goes missing. What happens in the courtroom? Do the good days return for the trio in the car? How does the LKB kidnapping drama come to an end? All this must be watched on the silver screen.

Gilli Nata, now famous after clinching the Big Boss title, worked on this film well before that. He has just done his work with flat dialogue delivery. It is Gaurav Shetty who captures attention, and Shwetha too impresses with her three different names in the film. Sadhu Kokila’s comedy has not worked well in the film. Dragon Manju, with such makeup as Judge Malgudi Mango, does not fit well. The Govinde Gowda and Pramod Shetty combination is not compelling.
The music and lyrics by Dr. V. Nagendra Prasad are impressive. “Sumne Sumne Sum Sumne…” is very melodious, and the sorrowful song “Jaari Hoda Madhura Bayake…” is good. The cinematography by Nagarjun gives fresh visuals to the eyes, as the locations are mostly out door in this film.
