Sudheendra Venkatesh, a senior publicist in the Kannada film industry, has been conferred with an honorary doctorate by the Yoga – Samskrutam University in Florida, USA, in recognition of his services to the film industry.
The honorary doctorate was presented on Monday at Mantralaya by Sri Subudhendra Theertha, Peethadhipathi of Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt. The recognition was given for Sudheendra Venkatesh’s contributions to the Kannada film industry over several years.
Sri Raghavendra Chitravani, founded by late D.V. Sudheendra, who was regarded as the first publicist in the Kannada film industry, has completed 50 years of service. Over the decades, the organisation has functioned as a vital bridge between the Kannada film industry and the media and has been one of the strongest pillars of publicity support for numerous Kannada films. With a legacy spanning five decades, it continues to remain one of the most active and dependable publicity agencies in the industry.
Sudheendra Venkatesh has played a key role in expanding the organisation’s reach and strengthening its presence. With consistent effort and the support of his family, he has helped the company grow to greater heights. Known for his entrepreneurial approach and adaptability, he has ensured that Sri Raghavendra Chitravani has evolved with changing times.
Through the banner, Venkatesh has handled publicity for more than 3,000 Kannada films. He has worked with several leading production houses including Eshwari Productions, KCN Enterprises, Rockline Productions, Hombale Films, Paramvah Studios and Rishab Shetty Films. He has been serving as a publicist for over 35 years and has been leading Sri Raghavendra Chitravani following the demise of D.V. Sudheendra.
The next generation of the family is also actively involved in managing the company’s digital platforms, further strengthening its presence in the evolving media landscape while continuing the legacy built over the past five decades.
