Under the R&R Enterprises banner, real estate entrepreneur D.N. Nagi Reddy has written the story and produced ‘Srimathi Sindhoora’, starring Vijay Raghavendra. The film is directed by R. Anantharaju, who has also penned the screenplay. As part of the final phase of promotions, the film’s pre-release event was held grandly at SRV Preview Talkies.

Speaking at the event, producer D.N. Nagi Reddy said the story was inspired by people around him and incidents taking place in society.

“I have crafted this story based on people and happenings in society. I am very confident that audiences will leave the theatres with a good feeling after watching this film,” he said.

Hero Vijay Raghavendra said the Hanuman (Anjaneya) song, rendered by renowned singer Kailash Kher, is one of the major highlights of the film.

“When a girl gets married, she becomes a ‘Srimathi’, and Sindhoora (vermilion) symbolizes the honour bestowed upon her. The story revolves around a responsible young man who marries the girl he loves. However, several unexpected twists change the course of his life. The film shows the importance of faith and devotion in family life. The God we believe in never abandons us. ‘Srimathi Sindhoora’ is a complete family entertainer,” he said.

Responding to the audience’s request, Vijay Raghavendra also sang a devotional song on Lord Rama and Lord Anjaneya, receiving loud applause.

Director R. Anantharaju, known for several successful films, said he has sincerely worked to ensure that family audiences remain engaged throughout the film.

Heroine Priya Hegde, newcomer D.N. Leo Manoj, Ganesh Rao Kesarkar, Reshma V. Gowda, Prasanna Bageena, Ugram Ravi, Master Mourya, Maruthi, who portrays Lord Anjaneya, Anjali, and executive producer Gangadhar (he was quite unhappy with theaters policies) were also present and shared their experiences of working on the film.

One of the film’s biggest highlights is a special 20-minute sequence featuring Lord Anjaneya. Internationally acclaimed Indian bodybuilder Maruthi makes his acting debut in the role of Lord Anjaneya.

“I am extremely happy to have been offered this role. I accepted it with great pride and a sense of responsibility,” said Maruthi.

The film has been shot in the picturesque locations of Mudigere, Sakaleshpur, and Chikkamagaluru.

Music is composed by Rajesh Ramanath, who returns after a gap. The lyrics are penned by Kaviraj, K. Kalyan, and director R. Anantharaju.

The film is being distributed by Chandan Suresh and is set for a grand release across Karnataka on July 24, 2026.
