Speaking at the event, director Gowri said, “I have acted in several films and serials, and this is my first film as a director. I have a deep devotion towards God and am a great devotee of Rayaru. Abhijith has performed wonderfully as Annadaneshwara Swamiji. More than 100 Swamijis have acted in this film. Apart from that, 25,000 children from Siddaganga and Annadaneshwara Mathas have appeared in the film. We shot for 60 days in Koppal, Shivayoga Mandir, Mundargi, Bengaluru, Srirangapatna and around Siddaganga Matha.”
Lead actor Abhijith Rao said, “In this film, the Gurus made me do everything with my own hands. It was their blessing and wish. Gowri has made me perform the role very well. When making a story like this, nativity is very important. Cinematographers Mysuru Siddaraju and Shivashearana V. Sugnnalli have captured the film wonderfully, and V. Manohar’s music composition is excellent. Getting this role is the result of the good deeds of my previous birth.”
Sanjay Kumar Bevinahal, who has written the screenplay, lyrics and dialogues, said, “It is my good fortune to write about a Guru who lived a very simple life amidst books, created a revolution in the field of education through the three forms of service—food, knowledge and education—and earned a special place for himself in the literary world.”
Editor N.M. Vishwas said that food is very important in everyone’s life and expressed hope that the film would receive several awards.
