The Kannada film Shikhandi, which has attracted attention for its title, is scheduled to release in theatres this week on May 15.
The film is produced by Pola Praveen Kumar and directed by Gurumurthy V. The makers said the film has already received attention through its trailer and songs.
The story of Shikhandi is based on the character Shikhandi from the Mahabharata. The film’s title has also created curiosity among audiences.
Newcomer Yuvaraj Gowda plays the lead role in the film, while Khyaathi stars as the female lead. The cast also includes Nikhil, Nikhitha Swamy, Deepak Shetty, Neethu Vanajakshi, Raghavendra (Ragu), Chandini, Vedha, Bal Rajwadi, Nayana and Vijay Chendoor.
The film’s music has been composed by Manju Kavi, while Pradyothan has provided the background score. Cinematography is handled by Swamy Mysore and editing is by Chakram Sai.
