The poster of the Kannada film Patthedari, produced by Mohammed Atheeq under the A.K. Productions banner, was recently unveiled at the Artists’ Association in Bengaluru. The film is written and directed by Srinivas Jayaram and marks the debut of newcomer Kizhar as a lead actor.
Several members of the Kannada film industry attended the event, including Mayur Patel, “Shishya” Deepak, Kakroach Sudhi, Cheluvaraj, Aravind, Girish Jatti, actress Priya of Bheema fame, KGF Reddy, Victory Vasu, director Sahanamurthy, and journalist and host Harish Nagaraj. The guests unveiled the film’s poster and extended their wishes to the team. Members of the film unit later addressed the gathering.
Speaking at the event, director Srinivas Jayaram said that Patthedari is his second directorial venture after Gajapade. He described the film as a crime thriller and stated that although several films in the genre have been made, the screenplay of Patthedari will be different. He added that he developed the story and screenplay after watching and drawing inspiration from several crime thriller films.
Jayaram said that Kizhar is making his debut as a hero through the film. He recalled working with Kizhar for ten days on another project and narrated the story of Patthedari to him during that period. According to the director, Kizhar liked the story and agreed to be part of the project.
The director further revealed that the story revolves around four key characters. Along with Kizhar, actors Giri, Roopa, and Siddesh will be seen in important roles. He also stated that shooting is scheduled to begin next month, with most of the filming planned in Bengaluru.
Lead actor Kizhar thanked the guests who attended the event and said that he liked the story narrated by the director. He stated that his role in the film is substantial. Kizhar added that he has not received formal training from any acting school and learned acting by watching films featuring Kannada actors Rajkumar, Vishnuvardhan, Shivarajkumar, and Puneeth Rajkumar, whom he considers his inspiration.
Actor Siddesh, who plays a prominent role in the film, said that the director has written a good story. He also stated that A.K. Productions is producing the film on a large scale and that his role in the film is significant.
Actress Roopa said that Patthedari is a crime thriller, as indicated by its title. She added that she was satisfied with both the story and her role in the film.
Actor Kakroach Sudhi said that he had previously worked with the director and lead actor in another film and is also part of Patthedari.
