The shooting of ‘ON DUTY’, starring Vijay Raghavendra in the lead role, is progressing at a brisk pace in Bengaluru. Produced by Makineni Sai Krishnaraju, the film is written and directed by Sanjeev Megoti. It combines suspense, thriller, action and emotional elements.
Recently, an action sequence featuring Vijay Raghavendra, Krishnasai, Smruthi Venkatesh, Bhavana Chandra, Vinaya Prasad and Sanjeev Megoti was being shot at a sawmill on Magadi Road under the action direction of Thriller Manju. On this occasion, the film team invited members of the media and shared information about the film.
Director Sanjeev Megoti said, “I have experience directing several films, including ‘Police Complaint’, and writing stories for more than 45 television serials. After a gap of twelve years, I am directing a Kannada film. Everyone performs their own duties for their mother, wife, children and family. The title ‘ON DUTY’ also reflects this sense of responsibility. More than 75 per cent of the dialogue portions have already been completed. Three more action sequences and the songs remain to be shot.”
Producer and actor Krishnasai said, “The film has two important characters named Surya and Chandra. Vijay Raghavendra plays one character, while I play the other. The director has chosen a good story, and 75 per cent of the shooting has already been completed. Preparations are underway to release the film soon.”
Lead actor Vijay Raghavendra said, “I really liked Sanjeev Megoti’s story. The film has elements that will appeal to audiences across all sections. My character is also different and can be described as a role I have never played before. I am happy to be acting with Vinaya Prasad again after nearly twenty years, following the film ‘Ganesh Mathe Banda’. I am also happy to have performed under the action direction of Thriller Manju.”
Veteran actress Vinaya Prasad, who plays the hero’s mother in the film, expressed her happiness about acting with Vijay Raghavendra again. Thriller Manju said that he is choreographing three of the film’s four action sequences and is also appearing as an actor in addition to handling the action direction. Lead actress Smruthi Venkatesh stated that this is her third film as a heroine. Aarohana Sudheendra shared information about the songs.
The film has cinematography by Harish, music direction by Aarohana Sudheendra, editing by Renuka Babu, and action choreography by Thriller Manju and Dileep.
The cast includes Vijay Raghavendra, Krishnasai, Smruthi Venkatesh, Baby Anvika, Bhavana Chandra, Dharma, Prema, Vinaya Prasad, Ravikiran, Thriller Manju and Sanjeev Megoti. Actress Bhavana Chandra, cinematographer Harish, and several other artistes and technicians were present at the press conference.
